Greetings from sunny Southern California! My name is Edd Hendricks and I'm the newsletter designer & co-editor from SOCALM, the Southern California Miata Club. I have the priviledge of getting to drive around some great roads all up and down the Pacific Coast as a member of one of the largest Miata clubs in the US: we currently boast about 350 memberships and 550 people (many are couples with joint membership). So what does this have to do with you?
I'll be driving cross-country in April while on vacation, and hope to meet up with as many Miata Clubs as I can along the way. I'll be driving the length of I-10 into Florida, where I'll spend for a week with my wife on vacation, after which I'll return to California driving the length of I-40. This route will cross the paths of 26 Miata clubs, and yours is one of them
My initial itinerary (it seems to change every day) will bring me through Tallahassee on Saturday, April 21 around 900 am, and my hope is just to grab a quick breakfast with any of your club members that'll be available, and maybe get some snapshots of us and our cars together. Because this will be a lightning-fast trip across our great nation, I'll only have about an hour before I hit the road again, so I understand if only a few people (if any!) are available to meet with me.
Please let me know if anyone from your club might be available; I'm looking forward to the chance to meet fellow Miata nuts around the country!
