Leon, when you return from your tour of Route 66, please add this to the
past events section on the BBMC page:
Five Miatas made the annual summer trip to Carrabelle Beach on Sat. June
22nd, once again accompanied by cloudy weather, but no rain.  Making the
50-mile trek were outgoing president Larry Ochalek, incoming president Paul
De Florio and close personal friend Susan, Stephen Parrot and wife Lori,
newest member Ken _____ and founder Roger Sockman.  The highlight of the
trip was playing frisbee on the beach and watching Paul and Susan retrieve
the frisbee in the Gulf due to the poor throwing from Larry, Ken and Roger.
Lori went for a sun bath, but Mr. Sun only cooperated randomly throughout
the day.  After playtime, we were treated to Larry's hotdogs, Paul/Susan's
potato salad, Ken's beans, Stephen/Loris homemade food, and Roger's homemade
chips and cookies.  We were visited by a flock of seagulls (no not the rock
group from the 70's), a crow who took a liking to our "little cars" as the
mainte-
nance man referred to them, and a couple of puppies from the next table.
The trip back was split up in two different directions with Ken and Roger
taking the "scenic" route through Highway 65 in the Apalachicola National
Forest and Paul, Larry and Stephen taking another route back to Tallahassee
for a "photo session."  In summary, it was a good time was had by all!  RTS.
