Metromotorsports Big Red Button
A big red, lighted, starter button. Put the key in the itgnition,
ignition on, and press the button to start, holding the clutch down.
Installation
Installs in place of the cigarette lighter. Take off the cover below
the steering wheel column (two screws). Also take off the two covers\
around the ignition lock and light and wiper stalks (four screws.)
Carefully prey out the power mirror switch with a small screw driver.
(It has four releases, but I never got these pressed in; preying
is recommended in Haynes.)
The connector to the lighter is L-shaped with a release in
the inside of the L. There are two prongs in the plastic part
surrounding the lighter, but I could only get them depressed after
I first had worked out the lighter itself towards the outside of the dash
board. Take off the connector at the end of the key lock (press the
release) and plug the connectors attached to the button in between.
Screw the button into the lighter hole. The spacer goes at the
outside. Screw the earth to the metal bracket nearby (I used the hole
in the vertical part.)
