What a great Big Bend Miata Club drive out we had this past Saturday to DeFuniak Springs! We had five MX-5's meet at Sam's parking lot for the hour-and-a-half drive over to DeFuniak Springs. Although one could not make the trip, we were lead by Webmaster Leon Van Dommelen in his white '96. He was followed by Brian in his new green 2000, Monica and Rebecca in THEIR PARENTS (oh my!) white '93, and me and my daughter Ellen Ann in my old blue '90. When we arrived at the Wine Festival, we immediately went to the FRONT of the parking lot on the green to sit with nine other beautiful MX-5's from Fort Walton Beach (PMS), Panama City (New Chapter), Central Alabama (CAMS), and Big Bend. It was awesome. The weather was perfect--not a cloud in the sky--and the wine tasting and music was also great. The exchange of information between Miata owners was invaluable. This is what the Miata Club is all about. Sorry for those who missed it. See You Oct. 19th at the Buckhead Brewery for our next meeting. Happy Miataing!
