Trouble Shooting
This page describes what to do when a problem arises. Note that some
problems may be located only on one side, but may affect both
headlights (i.e. A fault in one black box may cause both headlights to
cycle continuously.)
Follow the following steps to isolate your problem:
-
If the completed system operates normally with the black boxes
installed, (both the dash switch and the headlight switch work
correctly), but one or both headlights won't wink, or other problems
are encountered in the wink, click here
-
Take the black boxes out of the circuit:
De-energize the system. Now detach the in-car
new connectors from the black box connectors and connect them
directly, bypassing the boxes. Remove the black boxes (if necessary),
then re-energize the system. If removing the black boxes corrected
the problem, then a problem is probable in one or both of the black boxes.

-
If the problem still occurs with the black boxes removed, a problem
exists in the car's wiring and/or the new connectors.
