More bad weather on US 191 from Grand Teton National Park towards Colorado. Also a bad experience with the Econo Lodge in Rock Springs. But US 191 is a very pretty road.
Below Rock Springs, I encountered an area-wide hail storm. Not really wanting to test my worn all-season tires on icy mountain roads, and afraid that if I slowed down too much, someone would slam into me, I made a U-turn and took Interstate 80 to WY 789/CO 13. Due to confusing road signs, I thought I had overshot WY 789, so I spent some time driving back and forward on the interstate to find it. Then when I found it, I discovered that there were no gas stations on this road, so I had to go back on US 80 and return to the previous "town" to get gas. It was a very frustrating day. But reaching CO 65 at the end of the day made up for a lot.
