Drove the coastal route (132) through Gaspe Peninsula. Beautiful. Took a side tour onto 299 to Mont-Albert, and from there a detour on a side road which terminated at an unpaved road, which I followed until the height of the big rocks on the road repeatedly started exceeding Bozo's ground clearance. This seemed to much of a good thing, especially since this remote road was absolutely deserted, i.e. I did not see anyone or any sign of life on the road. No place to get stuck, in short. Also, since the road was not on my map or on my GPS, I had no idea where it went, idf anywhere, except that it seemed to be bending more and more the wrong way. So I did what any pilot flying in deteriorating weather should do: make a U-turn. I ended up in Perce for lodging. I can say one thing about Quebec: the food is excellent wherever you try.

Sorry about the blank map, no more data on my US Roads & Recreation CD.
