Today I drove to Boston, MA. I started out over I 95, but in Massachusets I took a lovely detour over US 1A, MA 133 and 127 along coast lines, quaint houses and villages, tree lined roads, fishing harbors, etcetera. The only trouble was: absolutely no places to stop the car and take pictures. Narrow busy streets throughout. So just believe me: it is a fun area.

This morning, I found a same-day hotel room in the middle of Boston! After stumbling at Holliday Inn, Hampton, Motel 6, etc, I tried the Best Western site. It searched for me through all the Boston area Best Westerns and found a room right on Commonwealth Ave. I could hardly believe it, but it gave me a reservation number. Dinner with the Esteemed Shankar Subramaniam follows. Boston is a really nice town.
