R-Speed was unable to have the final bracket they had to fix on my supercharger shipped to them overnight. It had to go first from the machine shop to Jackson Racing overnight, not direct, and Downing Atlanta did not have any old ones left either. Since I really have to get ready for the semester, I decided to leave and try to install the bracket myself. In any case, I am glad that these problems have finally been properly addressed. I only wish R-Speed would have been there when I bought my supercharger initially. Hector is an artist with a wrench.

On another positive note, the reason I brought my car to R-Speed in the first place (besides 60k service), was to get a manual steering rack installed. (With the proper hardware changes, since the same aftermarket belt drives both the supercharger and the AC and power steering pulleys; it is a nontrivial change.) The manual steering is just great: I can now feel me changing the direction of the car without a stupid second "hand" grabbing my steering wheel and adding varying amounts of additional torque to it. "Keep your fingers off my steering wheel!" is how I thought of power steering.

Home, sweet home. :)
