Deal's Gap. This refers to the mountain pass of US 129 near the border between Tennessee and North Carolina (through Tapoco) that has hundreds of hairpin bends and other twists. The object is, of course, to drive them fast. Without falling off a mountain. I heard that at least one Miata hit the dust; the driver was OK.

The entire area is swarming with hundreds of Miatas. Wherever you go, you see Miatas. All honking and waiving away while racing through the twisties.

At Tapoco Lodge, the center of the event, there is a constant coming and going, with, I am guessing, on the order of a 100 Miatas parked everywhere, in every lane, on every parking lot, on every grass strip, at any given time.
