I am going south along the Missisippi now. I made one detour, to the Taliesin house in Spring Green. Part of scenic route 60 was closed, but the detour was good too. Taliesin, created by famous architect Frank Loyd Wright, turned only to be accessible by an elaborate tour departing from a mile away, so I just looked at the house from a distance.

With the detour and overshooting the mark 20 miles, and washing the car, I did not get as far as I expected. But it was a great day with beautiful scenery, so what?
