The Catskill mountains were pretty nice, relatively free of tourists. I had not expected much of US 6, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is quite scenic along the entire length that I drove, free of excessive commericialism, and relatively fast. There are not many places suitable for stopping and taking a picture, however.

It was sunny and cool too most of the day, very pleasant. Just a few drops once in a while. This is the weather Miatas are made for.
